I first met Rebecca Kettle nearly 20 years ago when as Headteacher of an exceptional private independent school I needed to employ a Head of English. Rebecca stood out against other well qualified applicants. Not only did she have excellent subject knowledge but showed real passion for enhancing children’s love for learning and excitement. Over the years she demonstrated this repeatedly and not only in English, her ability and passion for other subjects was amazing and she could readily be asked to teach Maths, IT, Geography to name but a few. As my career extended to becoming an Executive Headteacher over several schools I could call on Rebecca to advise and recommend about various up to date teaching and learning materials and techniques. Apart from her professional knowledge she is warm caring person who really cares about the children she teaches of all abilities. She is patient, understanding and quickly appreciates the way a child learns and adapts her teaching to that individual. Mrs. Kettle tutored my daughter for the eleven plus. My daughter passed the exam and I would say it was due to Mrs Kettle's strategic and efficient tutoring. Rebecca helped my son with English comprehension preparing for 11+ exam. She is efficient, patient, well organized and a warm person. She also updates on the progress and weak areas after each lesson. My son enjoyed the lessons with her. I would definitely recommend her.
